Independent studio use is available for continuing students and potters. Includes electric firing, cone 04 and cone 6, raku, pit firing, unlimited access and shared chores. Organizational meeting TBA.

Clay Basics and Beyond

Instructor: Liz Lewis
Ages: teen-adult.

Clay-loving folks of all levels will enjoy this flexible class with handbuilding (primate masks!), wheel time and an opportunity to fire up the raku kiln. Long session provides plenty of time for individual exploration.

Thursdays, 6:30-9 pm, 10 weeks Begins Jan. 31 (no class Feb. 21 and April 10)
Independent work time: Sundays,
1-4 pm (and more)
Tuition: $170 + $50 lab fee

Kids’ Clay Class: Wonders at Water’s Edge!

Instructors: Geri Siebert and Amy Kitchener
Ages 6-10.

Get ready for fun when the sea splashes into the clay studio! Design and build your own personal lighthouse lantern. Create a super special starfish bowl to hold beach treasures or snacks. Sculpt a sinuous seashell and mold a fabulously funky fish over a rock. Possibilities are as endless as sand pebbles as we let the beach inspire coastal creations!

Teen Clay Class

Instructor: Liz Lewis
Ages: 11-17

Hands-on clay! Develop wheel throwing skills; make a textured slab vase to fire in the raku kiln, create primate mask sculptures and more!

Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 pm, 8 weeks

NEW Family Clay Day: Monkey Mask Sculptures!

Instructor: Liz Lewis

Adults and kids, come alone or with a friend! (kids under 7 need to be with someone older). Using multiple colors of clay, build primate masks inspired by rainforest photographs. Fun!
